• Caltech's Information Science and Technology (IST) initiative has faculty and post-doctoral openings. In particular, post-doc positions are available in the Center for the Mathematics of Informations (CMI) and the Center for the Physics of Information.

Research

Professor Vaidyanathan and his research group are interested in several aspects of modern digital signal processing (DSP) including multirate digital signal processing and wavelet transforms. These are active fields in the DSP area with a broad range of applications. Of interest to Prof. Vaidyanathan's group are applications in digital communications, signal compression, signal estimation, speech and music signal processing, and digital image processing.
